John Ruskin was an English art critic of the Victorian era. He is also remembered as a patron of the arts, draughtsman, watercolour painter, philosopher, social thinker and philanthropist. He wrote on subjects as wide and varied as geology, architecture, mythology, ornithology, literature, education, botany, economics and politics.
