John Emerich Edward Dalberg-Acton, Baron Acton, 13th Marquess of Groppoli, KCVO, DL (10 January 1834 – 19 June 1902) was a historian, politician, and writer. He briefly served as Liberal Member of Parliament for Bridgnorth between 1865 - 1866. Although he certainly considered himself to be an englishman he was born in Naples and died in Bavaria.
